At the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, technology, music, and Gujarati culture stands Monang Champaneri, a Dholka-based IT entrepreneur and founder of Vardhaman Code Tech, who is exploring how AI can change the way regional music is visually presented to audiences.
His latest experiment is “Gokul,” a devotional song by renowned Gujarati singer Birju Barot, transformed into an AI Cinematic Music Film using AI-generated visuals, cinematic storytelling, AI-assisted artist representation, and singing lip-sync technology.
But for Champaneri, the project is about more than creating another music video.
It is an attempt to answer a larger question:

Sung by Birju Barot, the song carries the emotions of Lord Shri Krishna, Gokul, devotion, longing, and spiritual connection.
The challenge was therefore not simply to generate attractive images.
The visuals needed to respect the emotional world of the song.
For the project, AI was used to develop cinematic environments inspired by Shri Krishna, Gokul, traditional village life, devotional imagery, and the atmosphere surrounding the song’s narrative.
These visuals were then approached as parts of a larger cinematic story rather than disconnected AI-generated scenes.
Another important element was maintaining the recognisable identity of the singer while experimenting with AI-assisted performance sequences.
The production workflow incorporated technologies including:

Singing Lip-Sync
Creating believable singing is considerably more demanding than ordinary talking-avatar animation.
Lip movement, jaw motion, expressions, sustained notes, and timing need to correspond naturally with the recorded vocal performance.
For “Gokul,” singing lip-sync became an important part of experimenting with how an existing recorded performance could be represented visually through AI.
Artist Identity Preservation
Another priority was maintaining the recognisable appearance of the original artist.
As AI-generated human video becomes increasingly sophisticated, identity consistency becomes especially important when working with real singers and performers.
The goal is not to redesign the artist but to use AI while keeping the artist recognisably themselves.
Cinematic Storytelling
Technology alone does not create an engaging music film.
The scenes still need emotion, continuity, pacing, composition, and narrative purpose.
For that reason, the production focused on connecting the AI-generated material to the meaning and devotional atmosphere of the original song.
Vardhaman Code Tech Expands Beyond Conventional IT
The complete AI video production for “Gokul” was undertaken by Vardhaman Code Tech, with Monang Champaneri working as AI Producer.
The project also represents a broader direction for the company.
