Bengaluru, India – [DATE] – A B2B brand’s own website accounts for only about 16% of what AI search engines cite. Most early-stage companies should not be running ABM at all. Email is saturating so fast that in-person events have started working again.
Operators said all three out loud on the GTM and AI Operators Show, a YouTube series in which Aakash Sinha sits down with the people rebuilding go-to-market around AI and asks what changed, what broke, and what it cost them to find out.
Sinha has spent more than a decade inside B2B SaaS and has seen the industry in nearly every shape: first-time founder, demand generation leader, a marketer who stepped in to close enterprise deals, an operator across HR tech and legal tech. In the last two years he has watched AI turn all of it on its head, and not only on the product side. It has changed how companies go to market, how they sell, how they service customers and how they run their operations. Playbooks that worked a few quarters ago no longer hold.
“I’ve seen B2B SaaS in a lot of shapes, but nothing has changed it like AI has, on the product side and across GTM and Ops,” says Sinha. “Nobody has the answers yet, not founders, not investors. So I wanted to sit down with the operators actually figuring it out and capture what’s working, what isn’t, and what they’d do differently.”
Past the keynote
Most GTM content stops at the conference-stage takeaway. Every few few weeks, Sinha records a long-form conversation with an operator in the arena, building, shipping, selling and servicing, and goes deep on how the work itself has changed. Season one will have 10 episodes with operators from every side of GTM and operations:
- AI search. Nitya Chidambaram, founder and CEO of Singapore-based HeyAmos and formerly at ShopBack, Amazon India Ads and Practo, shows why a brand’s own website accounts for only about 16% of what AI search cites. She also describes leaving ShopBack with no backup plan for the first time in 15 years, then vibe-coding her product overnight and putting it in front of 45 potential customers in a single week.
- GTM engineering. Kushagra “KT” Tiwari, GTM Engineer at Starbridge and a top-four finisher at the first Clay Cup, explains why the GTM engineer multiplies specialists instead of replacing them. He also admits that because everyone now has the same AI tooling, channels like email are saturating fast, which is why in-person events started working again.
- Account-based marketing. Mason Cosby, founder of Scrappy ABM, breaks down the roughly $100M in pipeline his team has sourced across about 70 programs, and why most early-stage companies shouldn’t run ABM. He shares that he took a gigantic pay cut and earned less for two and a half years before his agency turned, and that he refunded unhappy early clients in full.
Saptarshi Das, Sr. Visual Designer at Adobe, put the underlying shift bluntly on the show: “What AI has done is effectively remove that layer of mediocre performance. You can’t do passable, mediocre work anymore, because the AI will do mediocre work within seconds. You have to create a differentiated experience.”
