Through his ventures FC Arena, Power Sports India, Power Sports Infra, and his association with Jamnagar Jets in the Gujarat Champions League (GCL), Kathan is working toward a vision where sports become more than recreation. They become a platform for business, opportunity, and community development.
His journey reflects an emerging entrepreneurial mindset: instead of building one successful company, build an ecosystem where multiple businesses strengthen one another.
The Turning Point: Leaving New Zealand to Build in India
Kathan’s entrepreneurial journey began with an unconventional decision.
Originally from Vadodara, he moved to New Zealand for higher education and professional opportunities. After experiencing life abroad, he decided to return to India and pursue entrepreneurship in his hometown.
While many young professionals were exploring careers overseas, Kathan saw untapped opportunities in India’s growing recreational sports industry.
He recognized that cities like Vadodara had passionate sports communities but needed more organized facilities, better playing experiences, and professionally managed sporting environments.
Rather than waiting for the industry to develop, he decided to participate in building it. That decision became the foundation of his entrepreneurial journey.
FC Arena: From One Turf to a Growing Sports Network
In July 2023, Kathan and his business partners launched FC Arena with a single sports turf in Vadodara. What began as a box cricket facility gradually developed into a multi-sport business.
Within approximately three years, FC Arena expanded to seven turfs and seven pickleball courts, with facilities across Manjalpur and Bhayli.
The business introduced different sporting formats, including box cricket, football, pickleball, and recreational competitions. But Kathan’s ambition extended beyond hourly ground bookings.
He wanted to create destinations where players could experience competition, recognition, entertainment, and community. Through tournaments, youth competitions, and sporting events, FC Arena has been developing a community-focused approach to recreational sports.
For Kathan, every player deserves an experience that feels special, regardless of whether they are a professional athlete or someone playing after work.
Power Sports India: Building a Homegrown Equipment Brand
Operating sports facilities gave Kathan firsthand exposure to the equipment needs of everyday players. This inspired the development of Power Sports India, a sports equipment brand offering cricket bats, tennis cricket balls, and pickleball paddles.
Its cricket bat collection includes Fire, Strike, Dominator, and Lux, while its pickleball range includes Core, Force, and Supreme.
The company’s approach connects product development with actual sporting communities. Through FC Arena’s player network, tournaments, and partnerships, Power Sports India can introduce products directly to its target audience.
Kathan’s ambition is to establish a recognizable Indian sports equipment brand that combines accessibility, performance, and a strong connection with grassroots players.
Power Sports Infra: Creating Opportunities for Sports Entrepreneurs
As FC Arena expanded, Kathan identified another challenge: aspiring sports entrepreneurs often lacked the technical knowledge required to construct professional sporting facilities.
This led to Power Sports Infra, a construction and consultancy venture specializing in sports infrastructure.
The company provides solutions for box cricket grounds, football turfs, pickleball courts, basketball courts, badminton facilities, and school sports infrastructure. Its services include planning, structural design, material selection, construction, and project consultancy.
Drawing on practical experience from operating sports facilities, Kathan aims to help clients build commercially practical and professionally designed sporting environments.
The broader objective is to make sports infrastructure development more accessible to entrepreneurs, institutions, and investors across India.
Jamnagar Jets: Entering the Competitive Cricket Ecosystem
Kathan’s involvement in sports also extends into competitive cricket through Jamnagar Jets, a team associated with the Gujarat Champions League (GCL).
The association represents another dimension of his sports business journey, connecting grassroots participation with organized competitive cricket.
Power Sports India’s involvement as a bat and equipment partner creates opportunities for brand visibility, player engagement, and product exposure within a competitive sporting environment.
For Kathan, initiatives like Jamnagar Jets represent the potential to connect sports businesses with athletes, supporters, and entertainment. It also reflects his ambition to participate in different levels of the sports industry, from recreational players to organized cricket competitions.
The Bigger Vision: Building the POWER Sports Ecosystem
Kathan is now developing his next concept, Power Sports Club, bringing together sports, fitness, community activities, entertainment, and a sports-themed café.
The idea is to create a destination where people do not simply come to play but also connect, socialize, and become part of a sporting community.
Together, his ventures represent an interconnected business model.
FC Arena provides playing facilities. Power Sports India develops equipment. Power Sports Infra constructs sporting spaces. Jamnagar Jets connects the brand with competitive cricket, while Power Sports Club aims to bring these experiences together through community engagement.
Beyond business, Kathan also shares his entrepreneurial experiences through digital content and podcast initiatives, encouraging young people to explore opportunities within India’s sports economy.
His long-term vision is to contribute to Gujarat’s emergence as a destination for sports participation, entrepreneurship, and infrastructure development.
From leaving New Zealand to building multiple sports ventures in Vadodara, Kathan Vyas is pursuing a mission that goes beyond creating companies. He wants to build an ecosystem where sports inspire communities, create businesses, and open doors for the next generation of entrepreneurs.
For him, the journey is not just about building grounds or selling equipment. It is about building the future of sports, one opportunity at a time.
