Manzoor Raziq and Anupam Kakati turned personal grief into DiagnosIO, a connected healthcare platform, and the IO+ Ring that brings it to your wrist — built in Assam for India.
In Indian healthcare, a single patient often carries the entire system on their shoulders: medical reports in one hand, prescriptions in the other, while family members run between pharmacies, diagnostic laboratories and clinics.
At the centre of a new effort to change this experience is DiagnosIO, a pre-launch healthcare technology platform founded in Guwahati by Manzoor Raziq and Anupam Kakati.
Their vision is simple to describe but challenging to achieve: a healthcare ecosystem where every stakeholder can communicate seamlessly. The product designed to bring this vision into everyday life is the IO+ Ring, a smart wearable device scheduled for a soft launch in January 2027.
The Journey That Started Everything
DiagnosIO did not begin in a corporate boardroom. Its roots lie in a hospital corridor and a deeply personal experience.
In 2017, Manzoor Raziq’s brother was diagnosed with cancer. Manzoor, who was just 23 at the time, travelled to Delhi and other cities in search of treatment. Nearly three months spent navigating hospitals exposed him to the confusion, uncertainty and emotional exhaustion that families often experience while dealing with serious illnesses. His brother passed away that same year.
“No family should have to face that journey alone and confused,” Manzoor says.
His co-founder, Anupam Kakati, carries a similarly personal motivation. He lost his mother to cancer when he was around 15.
“I couldn’t save my mother, but I can build technology,” he says.
Two founders. Two personal losses. One shared conviction: technology can help ensure that fewer families have to navigate healthcare without the information and support they need.
The Pain Nobody Sees
Anyone who has accompanied a loved one to a hospital understands that the illness itself is only one part of the struggle. The rest often involves missing medical reports, unanswered questions, unexplained prescriptions and repeated visits to different healthcare providers.
For patients, this means fragmented medical records, repeatedly explaining their medical history to different doctors and travelling between pharmacies, laboratories and hospitals across cities.
Healthcare professionals face challenges of their own. Doctors lose valuable time managing paperwork and making decisions with incomplete patient histories. Laboratory results must often be followed up through phone calls, while pharmacies, clinics and diagnostic centres frequently operate through disconnected systems.
These are not merely administrative inconveniences. They can affect the quality, continuity and timeliness of healthcare, particularly when families are already dealing with difficult medical circumstances.
DiagnosIO aims to address this disconnect by creating a more integrated healthcare experience.
The Founders Behind DiagnosIO
Manzoor Raziq: Turning Personal Experience Into Purpose
Manzoor Raziq holds a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering and brings more than 15 years of experience in entrepreneurship, business and project management.
A founding member of EooT Technologies, a Guwahati-based IT company, he previously attempted to develop an AI-based cancer detection solution in 2021. Although the initiative did not succeed, it provided valuable insights into the complexities of healthcare technology.
At DiagnosIO, Manzoor leads business development, administration, strategic partnerships and team coordination. His leadership approach centres on communication, trust, accountability and teamwork.
Anupam Kakati: Building the Technology Backbone
Anupam Kakati is an IT consultant and Data Science and Analytics Engineer with over 13 years of experience developing data-driven solutions.
His professional experience includes projects for government departments and World Bank-funded initiatives, including the CM Dashboard Assam and NTEP Assam.
He is also the founder of Jan Briddhi Foundation, an NGO, and NearBlood, a blood-donation platform.
At DiagnosIO, Anupam leads the technology side of the organisation, focusing on building the systems and digital infrastructure that connect different healthcare stakeholders.
Together, the founders combine personal motivation, technical expertise and entrepreneurial experience to address a longstanding challenge in Indian healthcare.
What Is DiagnosIO?
DiagnosIO is envisioned as an integrated healthcare platform connecting the different stakeholders involved in patient care.
Rather than allowing medical information to remain scattered across separate institutions and systems, the platform aims to ensure that relevant information can move with patients throughout their healthcare journey.
Its proposed ecosystem brings together several key services:
- Pharmacy Management Software: Digital solutions for pharmacy operations and management.
- Lab Management Software: Tools designed to streamline diagnostic laboratory processes.
- Doctors’ AI Assistant: AI-powered assistance intended to support doctors in their professional workflows.
- Home Care: Healthcare support and services beyond traditional clinical settings.
- Medical Tourism: Support for patients exploring healthcare services across locations.
- Health App and IO+ Ring: A connected digital health experience combining a mobile application with wearable technology.
By bringing these services together, DiagnosIO aims to create a more coordinated environment for patients and healthcare professionals.
The IO+ Ring: Health Data That Works Between Visits
If DiagnosIO is the connected backbone of the ecosystem, the IO+ Ring is designed to bring that vision into people’s everyday lives.
Traditionally, much of an individual’s health information is collected when they are already unwell and visiting a healthcare facility. The IO+ Ring aims to extend health monitoring beyond these clinical interactions through a wearable device designed for everyday use.
Working alongside the DiagnosIO Health App, the ring is intended to support continuous health monitoring and help users keep track of relevant health information between medical appointments.
The broader vision is to create a connection between everyday health data and the healthcare professionals who may need that information, potentially helping identify changes earlier and support more informed conversations with doctors.
For founders who understand the consequences of delayed diagnosis through personal experience, this capability represents an important part of their mission.
The IO+ Ring is currently planned for a soft launch in January 2027.
Built in Guwahati, Built to Scale
DiagnosIO is beginning its journey in Guwahati, with plans to conduct an initial pilot in the city before expanding its healthcare network.
The founders envision developing a scalable platform that can connect patients, doctors, pharmacies, laboratories and other healthcare service providers across a wider geography.
Early access registrations are opening in phases, allowing interested users and healthcare stakeholders to become part of the platform’s initial journey.
Starting in Assam, the larger ambition is to contribute to a more connected and accessible healthcare ecosystem for India.
A Message From DiagnosIO
