Bandipora, Jammu & Kashmir:
Renowned social activist Mushtaq Ahmad Mir continues to make a meaningful impact in society through his dedication to public welfare and community development. Known for his consistent efforts in helping the underprivileged and addressing grassroots issues, Mir has recently taken another significant step towards environmental and social empowerment.
According to Abid Wani, who shared details with the media, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir has joined a newly formed group in Bandipora aimed at encouraging plantation and raising environmental awareness among local residents. The primary objective of this initiative is to empower communities by promoting greenery, sustainability, and collective responsibility toward nature.
As part of this mission, a plantation drive was successfully conducted in key areas near the SP Office and Army Goodwill School in Bandipora. Volunteers and community members actively participated in the drive, planting saplings and spreading awareness about the importance of environmental conservation.
Speaking about Mir’s involvement, Abid Wani highlighted that his leadership and commitment have inspired many young individuals to take part in such initiatives. His work is not only about helping people in need but also about building a better and greener future for the coming generations.
In addition to these efforts, the group has emphasized a long-term vision for the region. Their shared dream is to keep Kashmir clean, green, and strong by promoting environmental responsibility, reducing pollution, and encouraging youth participation in sustainable practices. They believe that a cleaner Kashmir will not only enhance natural beauty but also improve public health, tourism, and overall quality of life. The initiative calls upon every citizen to take ownership of their surroundings and contribute actively towards preserving the ecological balance of the valley for future generations.
