Born and raised in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, Gokulnath comes from a family with a strong entrepreneurial background in retail and wholesale trading. Growing up as the eldest son, responsibilities arrived early in life. While resources were limited, those experiences shaped his belief that success is earned through patience, persistence, and continuous self-improvement. His passion for technology was ignited during his school days by his computer mentor, Mr. Saravanakumar, whose encouragement inspired him to pursue Computer Science Engineering.

Although he describes himself as an average student academically, he was known for leadership and innovation. From serving as a Class Representative and President of the Photography Club to leading student initiatives and winning multiple paper presentation and innovation competitions, Gokulnath consistently chose learning beyond the classroom. Looking back, he believes those experiences shaped his confidence to lead people, manage projects, and solve real-world problems.

Instead of following a conventional engineering career, Gokulnath entered the banking industry because he enjoyed working with people. His career with Axis Bank and Equitas Small Finance Bank exposed him to customer relationships, financial systems, compliance, operations, and rural financial inclusion. During this period, he contributed to several impactful initiatives, including improving branch audit ratings, expanding banking access in underserved communities, introducing ATM services in unbanked regions, and conducting financial literacy programs.

Despite professional success, he felt something was missing.

He is also a Founding Member and Bulletin Editor of Y’s Men International – Madurai, where he actively contributes to leadership development and community service.
