A student, a working professional or an early stage founder can book a paid one to one session with a verified industry expert and get a direct answer to their own question. Founded in 2025 by Shravan Patil and Aman Vijay Uchitkar, the platform runs on the idea in its tagline, Connecting Ambitions with Experience.


Career information in India has never been scarce. Personal guidance is. A student choosing between two engineering branches, a graduate facing a first interview, or a founder unsure whether to raise money can read a hundred articles and still have nobody to ask. Most try the obvious route, a message to a senior professional on LinkedIn, and hear nothing back. That silence, the company believes, reflects the absence of a system that respects a professional’s time rather than any unwillingness to help.


Both founders had faced that problem themselves. Patil had written to professionals as a student and received no replies. Uchitkar had finished an engineering degree with no clear sense of what came next.
Every mentor on the platform is a verified expert, checked for professional background before being listed. Students and professionals browse by field, choose an available slot, pay for it and meet the mentor one to one. Career sessions cover resume reviews, mock interviews, stream and course selection, study abroad planning and career transitions. On the business side, experts advise founders and small business owners on business strategy, fundraising, go to market planning, pricing, marketing, hiring and scaling operations. Because mentors are paid for their time, sessions run as professional appointments rather than favours, and both sides arrive prepared.


For mentors, the platform removes much of what makes mentoring hard to sustain. Verification, scheduling, reminders and payments are handled by MentorSarthi, and mentors are invited to lead workshops at partner colleges and incubation centres, reaching student audiences they would rarely access on their own.


“Founders usually reach me about three months after they should have, by which time the money is spent on the wrong thing. MentorSarthi at least puts a mentor one booking away instead of one unanswered message away,” said Rengan Jayakrishnan, Entrepreneurship and Business Strategy mentor on the platform.


“I have counselled in schools for years, and the difference here is reach. On MentorSarthi a student from a small town gets the same half hour as a student sitting in Pune,” said Yogesh Satishchandra Baheti, Career Development and Professional Growth mentor.


MentorSarthi also works directly with educational and startup institutions. Colleges, innovation centres and incubators bring the platform in to run structured mentorship for their students and startup cohorts, and the company has supplied mentors to programmes at KCIIL, the RTMNU Incubein Foundation and DFIIE. It has also run career guidance workshops for school and college students, and has served as Career Guidance and Mentorship Partner at multiple startup and campus events.


The company is supported by IFCI Venture Capital Funds. Its expert panel covers technology, business consulting, education, design, finance, government services and entrepreneurship, so neither a student nor a founder has to settle for guidance from an adjacent domain.


MentorSarthi is also developing an AI Mentor feature to handle routine questions such as which stream to choose or which skills a particular role demands, so that human mentor time is reserved for the conversations that genuinely need judgement.


Looking ahead, the company plans to widen its mentor base across new domains, extend its institutional programmes to more colleges and incubation centres, and deepen its reach in smaller cities and towns, where students have the least access to industry professionals.
