Introduction
In a world where most people in their early twenties are still trying to figure out what they want from life, some individuals choose a different path — one driven by discipline, ambition, and a relentless pursuit of growth.
My name is Devansh Tiwari, a 21-year-old entrepreneur, investor, and financial analyst from Katni, Madhya Pradesh. I am the founder of Ratans Pvt Ltd, and my journey into business and investing began much earlier than most people expect.
But my story is not about luck. It is about mindset, discipline, and the willingness to think differently.
Choosing a Different Life
From a young age, I realized something that shaped the direction of my life.
I could not live an ordinary life.
Many people grow up accepting the path that society sets for them — school, college, job, and routine. But deep down, I always believed that life rewards those who are willing to push beyond what is considered normal.
I decided early on that I would dedicate myself to becoming the best version of myself through sheer will and hard work. I did not want to live passively or settle for mediocrity. I wanted to compete, build, and grow.
The challenges I saw growing up made me realize how important financial independence can be. Instead of letting circumstances define my future, I decided to focus on learning skills that could create opportunities.
Starting Early: Investing at 16
My journey into finance actually started when I was around 16 years old.
While many teenagers spent their time playing games or scrolling through social media, I became fascinated with financial markets and wealth creation. I started studying the Indian stock market, trading strategies, and the emerging world of cryptocurrency and digital currencies.
My first small investment was around ₹10,000 in the stock market. Watching that amount fluctuate daily taught me something important — markets reward patience, discipline, and learning from mistakes.
One of my early trades also taught me a tough lesson when I followed market hype instead of proper analysis and saw the value drop quickly. That experience reminded me that successful investing is built on patience, discipline, and continuous learning.
I still remember spending hours reading about markets late at night, trying to understand how money actually moves in the world. What started as curiosity slowly turned into a passion.
Over time, I began learning about market psychology, investment strategies, digital asset ecosystems, and long-term wealth creation principles.
“Discipline and financial intelligence are the real advantages in the modern world.”
Growing Up in a Smaller City
Growing up in a smaller city like Katni taught me something very important — opportunities are not always given; they are created.
In the beginning, many people around me did not fully understand why I was so focused on learning about markets and finance at such a young age. I remember explaining the basics of the stock market to friends who believed investing was simply gambling.
Moments like that made me realize how little financial literacy is discussed among young people. That realization strengthened my belief that understanding money early in life can completely change a person’s future.
Today, young people have access to information, technology, and global markets like never before. The real difference between success and mediocrity lies in how seriously one uses that access.
Building Skills Before Titles
Before chasing recognition or titles, I focused on developing real-world skills.
Over the past five years, I have spent time learning and gaining experience in marketing and sales, communication and negotiation, investing and trading, and understanding digital financial systems.
Sales and communication are among the most underrated skills in entrepreneurship. Every business idea eventually depends on the ability to communicate value, understand people, and build trust.
Skills create opportunities — not the other way around.
Founding Ratans Pvt Ltd
Entrepreneurship is not simply about starting a business. It is about solving problems and building systems that create long-term value.
As the Founder of Ratans Pvt Ltd, my focus is on combining financial understanding, strategic thinking, and modern digital trends to build ventures that adapt to the rapidly evolving financial world.
We are entering an era where technology and finance are merging faster than ever before. Entrepreneurs who understand this transformation early will be the ones who shape the future of wealth creation.
The Mindset of a New Generation
One of the biggest misconceptions about success is that age determines capability.
In reality, mindset determines outcomes.
Young people today have access to tools, markets, and information that previous generations could not imagine. But access alone is not enough.
Success requires discipline, strategic thinking, continuous learning, financial intelligence, and the courage to take calculated risks.
Lessons for the Next Generation
1. Start earlier than everyone else. Time is the most powerful asset you have.
2. Build skills, not just degrees. Real-world skills often matter more than theoretical knowledge.
3. Study money and markets. Financial literacy is one of the most important skills of the modern world.
4. Discipline beats motivation. Motivation fades — discipline builds results.
5. Aim higher than what society expects. Your environment does not define your potential.
Thinking Beyond Profit
Over the past few years, I have spent countless hours studying financial systems, market behavior, and emerging digital assets.
My goal has never been just short-term profits, but building a deeper understanding of how wealth is created and sustained over time.
I strongly believe the next generation must think differently about money — not just earning it, but learning how to grow and manage it intelligently.
Financial intelligence is not a privilege — it is a skill anyone can develop with discipline and curiosity.
The Journey Is Only Beginning
At 21, this journey is only getting started.
My goal is not just personal success but building ideas and systems that encourage more people to think differently about money, investing, and entrepreneurship.
The future will belong to those who combine discipline, financial intelligence, and vision — and I intend to be among those helping shape that future.
