New Delhi, India: AK Astrology TV has announced the launch of Orka, a private Vedic astrology app created to support the everyday needs of astrologers, students and Jyotish researchers. Available at Orkas.org, the platform combines chart calculation, predictive tools, daily astrological timing and organized client records in a single mobile-friendly workspace. The brand describes Orka as “the killer whale of Vedic astrology software,” reflecting its aim to bring a wide range of serious Jyotish tools together in one place.
Orka has been developed under the direction of Vedic astrologer Anmol Kapoor, founder of AK Astrology TV. With more than a decade of experience in consultation, teaching and astrological research, Kapoor says the platform grew from a practical difficulty he repeatedly encountered: no single astrology software contained all the tools he personally wanted while studying charts, teaching students and working with clients.
Rather than functioning only as a Kundli generator, Orka is designed as a complete Vedic astrology workspace. Users can create and save birth profiles, search previously stored charts, organize people into folders and maintain separate collections for family members, clients or research cases. A current transit chart can also be opened instantly, helping practitioners move between natal and time-sensitive analysis without repeatedly entering the same information.
The chart section supports multiple divisional charts and presents planetary placements in a clear North Indian chart format. Users can study Grahas by Rashi, degree, Nakshatra and Pada, while optional overlays allow them to display only the techniques required for a particular reading. These include Arudha Padas, Jaimini Karakas, Ashtakavarga, Upagrahas, special Lagnas, Badhaka indicators and Nava Tara relationships. The interface is designed to prevent an advanced chart from becoming visually overcrowded.
Orka’s Dasha timeline brings Vimshottari Dasha and Chara Dasha calculations into the chart experience. It allows users to view Mahadasha, Antardasha and Pratyantardasha periods without leaving the horoscope. The platform also offers different calculation conventions for selected systems, enabling serious students and practitioners to work according to the astrological approach they follow.
For daily timing, Orka includes a location-based Panchang showing Tithi, lunar month, Vara, Nakshatra-related information, sunrise, sunset and the current planetary Hora. It also displays practical time windows such as Rahu Kaal, Gulika Kaal, Yamaganda and Abhijit Muhurta. A complete Hora timeline helps users identify the planetary ruler of different periods throughout the day.
The Gochara calendar is intended for forward-looking transit research. Users can follow individual Grahas through Rashis and Nakshatras, review upcoming sign or Nakshatra ingresses, track retrograde periods and study significant planetary events over the coming days. A Moon-phase calendar adds dates for the Full Moon, New Moon and quarter phases, while a Muhurta-search option supports timing-based planning.
Relationship analysis is handled through Orka’s compatibility studio. The tool includes Ashtakoota and South Indian Dashakoota-based checks, while also allowing two charts to be studied together for deeper compatibility and predictive work. This gives astrologers an option beyond a single numerical matching score.
The app also includes client-focused organization and consultation scheduling, allowing practitioners to keep their astrological workflow connected with the people they advise. Because Orka operates through the web, it can be accessed on smartphones, tablets and computers. Users can also add it to a phone’s home screen and open it like an app. Light and dark viewing modes are available for different devices and working conditions.
Kapoor is known through AK Astrology TV for consultations, public lectures, webinars and structured programs in Vedic astrology. The academy offers learning in applied Jyotish, Jaimini Sutras, Nadi astrology, divisional charts and advanced predictive techniques. With Orka, AK Astrology TV is extending that work from education and consultation into astrology technology.
