Introduction: A Journey Defined by Resilience, Not Circumstances
While analyzing the success stories of entrepreneurs, one tends to see only what lies at the end of the journey and ignore the process itself. People can admire the flourishing businesses, expanding client base, and various accomplishments, yet they do not see the years of uncertainties, sacrifices, failures, and tough choices that go into creating something big. The story of AyushSrivastava and Savybytes does not revolve around a gifted child or top-performing student with a clearly defined vision for the future.
On the contrary, it describes someone who managed to persevere despite all challenges and obstacles and make opportunities out of difficulties. Born in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh—currently known worldwide as Ayodhya—Ayush came from an average family that viewed education as a safe way out to have a comfortable life in the future.
At present, he is the owner of Savybytes, a firm offering digital marketing and technology solutions to companies in India and Dubai.
Humble Beginnings: Growing Up in Faizabad
Just like many others in India, the dreams of Ayush’s parents were based on the notion that success could only be achieved through education. Hard work, sacrifice, and encouragement were what they used to make their children strive towards securing good jobs for themselves in the future. But unfortunately, Ayush did not always do things the way they wanted him to.
Given the nature of the surroundings he lived in, one would think that any outstanding accomplishments were just too difficult to achieve for him. Nevertheless, life has a tendency to reward some other traits as well. Determination, flexibility, curiosity, and perseverance are only a few among those that would make it possible for him to succeed in the end.
Challenging the Traditional Definition of Success
From childhood to teenage age, Ayush had heard about the same old mantra that talks about how to lead a successful life: work hard, score well, become an engineer, and have a career that would ensure comfort for oneself. Though there were many success stories that happened by following such paths, Ayush never managed to connect with them. While other kids used to busy themselves in scoring well, Ayush himself used to spend all his time searching for something that would make him feel passionate. He wanted to search for some such thing that would bring excitement in him, which would compel him to work even without being forced to.
He realized that academics did not make him happy and could never bring peace of mind to him. But still, despite trying everything possible in school days to find his passion, Ayush ended up becoming a part of the routine B.Tech course at Maharishi MarkandeshwarUniversity.
Engineering Wasn’t the Turning Point—The Stage Was
Through college life, Ayush got an experience that would mold him into the person he would be for the rest of his life: theater. His curiosity developed into love and passion, and every time he stepped up on the stage, he experienced more confidence and expression than anything his college courses were giving him at the time. Being able to express one and perform for the public is one of the most rewarding experiences of one’s lifetime.
While others were preparing for placements and the technical interviews, Ayush was spending his evenings rehearsing for shows and cultural events. All of his efforts paid off very quickly, and he won many first place awards in university-level as well as intercollegiate contests.
Ayush was becoming more confident every single day, and winning all of these contests gave him more assurance that he indeed found something in life. He no longer saw himself as average. On the contrary, he was exceptional.
Chasing a Dream Beyond College
As his confidence grew, Ayush went beyond the constraints of performing in college-level stage shows. He began participating in auditions for television shows, comedy programs, and various other performance platforms where one could make a difference in their lives in the future. Obviously, it wasn’t an easy task for him, and just like any other wannabe performer, he faced more defeats than victories during the process. But whatever he did, every audition taught him valuable lessons in perseverance and confidence.
Then came his breakthrough with The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. For a small-town boy having big dreams from Faizabad, it meant the world to be offered this opportunity. With the possibility of finally living his dream by moving to Mumbai—the dream city of everyone—things seemed to get better for him, or so he thought.
Choosing Responsibility Over Passion
Although the fact was acknowledged by his parents that their son had the natural flair for acting and was dedicated to his profession, becoming an actor involved making certain choices that his parents could not digest. Very soon questions started arising related to financial stability and other issues linked to being an actor. All this resulted in arguments that quickly escalated into heated emotions. The time when Ayush had to take his most critical decision in his life, the choice became one of either pursuing his passion or taking responsibility.
After spending several restless nights, Ayush decided to abandon his acting profession. This does not mean that he did so due to a lack of capability in performing on stage. Instead, it happened purely out of reverence for the values cherished by his family. Up till now, this decision of Ayush is considered the toughest of his life. However, this decision ultimately led to his successful business career.
Entering the Corporate World
After graduation, Ayush joined the world of corporations, just like millions of other youngsters who seek professional success and financial security. The first job he got was in sales, which gave him an insight into the aspects of communication, negotiation, resilience, and customer behavior. This experience provided him with a crucial lesson that came to be of utmost significance when starting a business venture: “Nothing happens till there is a sale.”
His next move to quality analysis made him familiar with business processes and customer experience management. All of his professional experience had been training him for entrepreneurship without his even realizing it.
The Amazon Layoff That Changed Everything
One of the most significant experiences Ayush faced as a working professional was during his tenure with Amazon. It was a great accomplishment to be associated with such a renowned organization. But then came a time when everything changed due to the layoffs. For Ayush, losing his job meant losing confidence, losing focus, and being unsure of his future plans.
However, today, looking back, he can say that this incident proved to be a turning point for him. This is because it made him rethink his decisions and made him take up certain avenues that he may have not thought of before.
