RANCHI, JHARKHAND — Shivam Jha, 23, is the Founder and CEO of Up11Tech, the IT and digital marketing company operated by UP11 Global Infotech LLP. He built it in Ranchi, and he has no plans to move it.

That decision runs against the default. Most technically skilled graduates from Jharkhand leave for Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Pune or Hyderabad within a year of finishing college. Jha did the opposite: he stayed, went remote-first, and went after clients outside India instead of relocating to reach them.

Today Up11Tech runs web and app development, UI/UX design, branding, performance marketing, SEO, social media management and business automation for clients across India, the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates and Australia.

Global clients came before the company

The sequence matters. Jha did not register a company and then go looking for work — he took on international projects first and formalised the business around a client base that already existed.

Before Up11Tech was launched, he had delivered full-stack web builds, e-commerce platforms, SaaS dashboards and paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads and LinkedIn. The work spanned real estate, healthcare, e-commerce, education and fintech.

UP11 Global Infotech LLP was incorporated in May 2026, converting that track record into a structured business with a delivery team.

Why Ranchi was a decision, not a default

Remote work, cloud infrastructure and global payment rails have removed most of the friction that once forced Indian founders into metro cities. What is left is delivery quality and communication — neither of which has a pin code.

Jha’s argument is economic as much as sentimental. Operating from Ranchi means a lower cost base than a Bengaluru or Gurugram agency carrying the same capability, and access to a talent pool that metros have historically drained rather than developed.

Up11Tech is now building toward enterprise engagements across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, with Ranchi as its permanent base of operations.

If a founder in a Tier-2 city can win international clients, build a remote team and train local talent without relocating, the case for the metro migration weakens for everyone behind him. That is the bet Up11Tech is making, and Ranchi is not a constraint on it. It is the point.
