Founded in August 2025, InternLexis steadily establishing itself as a practical legal education platform that bridges the gap between classroom learning and professional practice through internships, mentorship, and skill-based training.
For many law students, the real challenge begins after entering law school. While legal education builds a strong theoretical foundation, opportunities to develop practical skills such as legal drafting, legal research, and professional problem-solving often remain limited. As a result, many students graduate with academic knowledge but little exposure to the realities of legal practice.
It was this gap that inspired Ritik Raghav, a law student and entrepreneur, to launch InternLex on 1 August 2025. Built around the vision of “Empowering Legal Minds Through Internships,” the initiative started with a simple objective: to make practical legal learning more accessible to aspiring lawyers. Since then, it has grown into a platform that supports law students through structured learning experiences beyond traditional classrooms.
Rather than offering internships focused only on observation, InternLex encourages participants to actively engage in legal work. Interns work on legal drafting, research assignments, case analysis, and other practical exercises that mirror the kind of responsibilities they are likely to encounter in the legal profession. The emphasis remains on learning by doing while building skills that employers and legal institutions increasingly value.
In less than a year, InternLex has completed 11 successful internship batches, reaching more than 2,500 interns, including over 150 international participants from different parts of the world. During this journey, more than 200 practicing legal professionals have also joined InternLex as interns, alongside law students, to further sharpen their practical skills.
The platform’s efforts extend well beyond internships. InternLex has developed an active learning community by organizing 10+ national-level webinars, including workshops, where experienced legal practitioners and subject experts have shared practical insights on contemporary legal issues, professional ethics, litigation, and career development. These sessions have created valuable opportunities for students to interact directly with professionals and gain perspectives that are rarely available through conventional legal education.
To promote academic excellence and healthy competition, InternLex has also organized national legal quiz competitions, encouraging participation from students representing different institutions across the country. At the same time, the organization has collaborated with several law colleges and legal platforms to promote practical legal education and strengthen the connection between academic learning and professional practice.
Its digital presence has grown alongside these initiatives. InternLex is closing in on 10,000 followers on LinkedIn, where it regularly shares internship opportunities, legal updates, educational content, and career guidance for law students. This growing online community has helped the platform connect with aspiring legal professionals across India as well as internationally.
Continuing its expansion, InternLex has also introduced its official website, internlex.in, offering students a single platform to explore internship opportunities, legal resources, announcements, and educational initiatives. The website reflects the organization’s long-term vision of building a comprehensive ecosystem that supports learners throughout their legal journey.
Looking ahead, InternLex is also stepping into legal publishing. The organization is currently working on its upcoming book, Unmasking AI: Law, Power & Justice in the Global Digital Revolution, which examines the changing relationship between artificial intelligence, law, governance, and justice. Through this initiative, the platform aims to encourage informed discussions on some of the most significant legal questions emerging in today’s digital era.
For Ritik Raghav, InternLex has always represented more than an internship platform.
