Every meaningful journey begins with a moment of realisation. For Mohammed Sajeed, that moment came when he stepped into rural villages and government schools across India and saw something that stayed with him forever. The students there were not short on talent. They were short on opportunity. That single observation became the seed of a mission that would later grow into one of India’s most impact-driven EdTech brands, Robokalam Technologies.
Mohammed Sajeed’s journey started in 2014, when he founded Samaritans Stand Up as its Founding President. Through this initiative, he began visiting rural communities, spending time with students, and understanding the real challenges on the ground. He noticed that children in these areas were curious, sharp, and eager to learn, but they had little to no access to modern technology or practical, skill-based education. Moved by what he saw, he started conducting small workshops on digital literacy and hands-on learning. The response was overwhelming. Students absorbed everything with excitement, and institutions welcomed him with open arms. That is when he knew this work could not stop at workshops. It had to grow into something much bigger.
That belief led to the birth of Robokalam Technologies in 2018. What began as a grassroots effort slowly evolved into a full-fledged AI-powered EdTech company with a clear mission, to transform traditional education into a future-ready, technology-driven ecosystem. Today, Robokalam works at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and experiential learning, helping schools and colleges become true AI-powered smart campuses.
The brand follows a unique hybrid model that sets it apart from most EdTech platforms in the country. On one side, Robokalam sets up innovation and robotics labs inside schools and colleges, giving students a chance to learn through real projects in robotics, IoT, and emerging technologies. On the other side, it offers AI-powered software systems that track student performance, deliver personalised learning insights, and support institutions with smart academic management. This end-to-end approach covers infrastructure, curriculum, training, and analytics, ensuring that real transformation happens, not just surface-level learning.
The progress so far speaks for itself. Robokalam has conducted more than three hundred workshops, reached over two hundred institutions, and directly impacted more than three lakh students across the country. Under the Telangana Early Coders initiative, in collaboration with TITA and government schools, the brand has trained over thirty-two hundred students and teachers. It has delivered more than fifteen technology modules covering AI, Robotics, IoT, Data Science, and Coding. The journey has also opened doors to international exposure, including pilot initiatives in the Netherlands.
What makes Mohammed Sajeed stand out as an industry expert is that his work is built on lived experience. He did not start Robokalam from a boardroom. He built it from villages, classrooms, and conversations with students who reminded him every day why this mission matters. His approach is collaborative, working closely with schools, colleges, NGOs, and government bodies to create sustainable, long-term change, especially in Tier-2, Tier-3, and underserved communities.
Looking ahead, Robokalam aims to grow into a nationwide movement, redefining how education is delivered in India and building a generation of creators, innovators, and problem-solvers. For Mohammed Sajeed, success has never been about numbers alone. It has always been about people. That is why his guiding principle continues to be simple and powerful, “Impact over Income.” And it is this very belief that is shaping Robokalam into one of the most respected names in AI-powered education in India today.
This belief has now taken the shape of his most ambitious mission yet, Driving Dreams – Lab on Wheels. This is not just a project, it is a movement to take technology education directly to the doorsteps of students who do not have access to labs, mentors, or modern learning opportunities. The vision is to create a mobile innovation lab that travels to schools, villages, colleges, and underserved communities, giving students hands-on exposure to Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Coding, Electronics, Drone Technology, Future Skills, and the Entrepreneurship mindset. Many talented students in rural and semi-urban areas never get the chance to touch real technology tools. They only study theory. Driving Dreams aims to change that by taking the lab to them, instead of waiting for them to come to the lab. Through this initiative, the team will visit government schools and colleges, conduct practical workshops, inspire innovation among youth, help students build real projects, train girls and underserved communities in future-ready skills, and create awareness about careers in technology.
To turn this dream into reality, Mohammed Sajeed has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Milaap, inviting people to become part of this larger movement. The support raised through the campaign will help equip the mobile lab, purchase training kits and devices, reach more students, and expand the impact across Telangana and beyond. The campaign can be supported through this link: http://m-lp.co/sajeedmo?utm_medium=campaign_page_share&utm_source=copy. For Mohammed Sajeed, this is not about asking for donations alone. It is about inviting people to join a movement that can truly transform lives through education and innovation. Because at the heart of Driving Dreams is one simple belief, every student, regardless of background, deserves the chance to say, “I got my first opportunity because the lab came to me.” And together, this movement is set to drive dreams where opportunity has not yet reached.
